Apple, Facebook, and Amazon have announced plans to open stores in the nation in 2018.
The stores, to be operated by the retail giant, Amazon, and other retailers, are expected to start in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou.
The first location is expected to open in 2020.
Amazon will open stores at the first four of the new stores.
Amazon currently has nine retail locations in China, but the new locations will expand to 10 in 2018, according to the Wall Street Journal.
A spokeswoman for Amazon told Bloomberg that the company is looking forward to expanding into China and will work with the government to create a more seamless environment for shoppers and sellers.
While Apple and Facebook have yet to announce plans for new locations, both companies said in a statement that they are open to expanding.
“We are exploring all available options for expansion in China and look forward to seeing you at our new stores,” Facebook said.
“We are open and will continue to be open to meeting the needs of our customers and our partners in China.”
Amazon has a number of online stores, but its largest is located in the U.S.
