A new report has put forward a vision of what urban design could look like in the next decade, and suggests it is still in its infancy.
Dubbed “A New Future of Urban Design” by architects and urban designers Adrianne Tzempel and Daniel Boulanger, the report aims to “explore the emerging field of urbanism, the future for the 21st century.”
According to the report, the field of Urbanism is already shaping up to be a “significant player in the field,” with the report suggesting that it is set to “become the most important academic field for the future.”
“It is an exciting and exciting time,” the report says.
“It is exciting to see the emergence of new concepts and techniques and to see new directions in design thinking.”
The report states that it’s a “great time to be in urban design,” because “the field is expanding rapidly.”
According the report’s authors, urban design has reached a point where it’s time to rethink the way we live and work, which is why they’re looking to “bring together, educate, and encourage” designers from across the globe to “discover the strengths of this exciting field.”
According Tzmel and Boulangers, the focus of the new report is to help create a “new world” of urban spaces.
“A new world of urban living and work” refers to the concept of “smart city” as a “world of new experiences and opportunities,” the authors say.
“In our new world, the urban environment will be transformed by a wide variety of technologies and services, from the social, ecological, and economic aspects of life to the personal, social, and cultural aspects.”
“The new world will be a living and evolving space, where we will create our new urban world.
It will be more complex than the previous world,” the group says.
In order to create a new urban space, architects are “encouraging and promoting the use of technology and services that enable us to engage and connect with our communities, cities, and people.”
“In the context of smart cities, it will be important to promote collaboration and collaboration across the global communities that are creating the new world,” they say.
The report suggests that “we should look at how we can design and engage with our urban environment, in order to build our cities in a way that will sustain, sustain, and empower the urban community and the people who live there.”
The authors also suggest that designers should consider “making connections with the people of the city, particularly in urban areas, by incorporating them into the design process.”
“This is an important part of building the smart cities of the future,” they conclude.
